China Delight in Portland

This was our first time ordering from here. They were very nice and polite inside, but sadly the food was a miss. Neither of our dishes had any seasoning- no salt or anything- to the point that my husband and I both took our dishes home and seasoned them ourselves. There was more rice included than food in our actual entrees. Most likely we will not be back.

Not very good. Food tastes old and stale. The potstickers were thick and doughy. The shrimp chow mein had no flavor. Fried pork was very dry and no flavor.

I mean what do I say here? The food is always so yummy and it's served with a side of flair. Bruce is very nice and welcoming upon first visit and really likes to make people laugh. I recommend giving the honey walnut chicken and chicken with orange peel if you're heading this way.

Lots of excellent food, the wontons in spicy sauce, green beans, orange chicken, etc... loved it all.

My family loves China Delight. The owner is great, ask him for a story you won't regret it. And order the biang biang noodles and the orange peel beef!

This is a place my family has always been Coming to the price is right and the food is great and the owner is funny how can you not like a place like this I personally don’t live on the west side anymore so whenever I visit my mom this is always definitely a must

Breakfast special is a great value. Good food, bloody Mary, and nice people to visit with in the bar. Able to watch college football and PGA golf at the same time.

This restaurant has a very friendly staff that makes you feel very welcome, and with fun personality. It's a very good authentic Chinese food restaurant. Their portions are great and are perfect for families who like to share and try several dishes. They serve tea with the meal, and will offer white rice with dishes like sweet and sour chicken.

Good food and great service

We had an excellent meal at China Delight, and would recommend it to anyone. The food was delicious and served hot. This was the best Chinese restaurant that we have been to in the Portland metro area. Try it!

Hands down the best Chinese in Beverton. Bruce and his team are amazing.

I rate this restaurant as very poor. We were seated at a table in the corner with storage next to us and a pile of green beans on the table behind us. They were not accommodating when my mother realized the chownain noodles were made with wheat, which she is allergic to. A Chinese restaurant that did not have rice noodles, strange. Our food had to be reheated because it was barely warm. The person we were dealing with seemed irritated when we wanted to replace the chow main with something she could have. He said they could not do that. She had to pick something from that appetizer list. First and last time we will eat at this restaurant.

A rare find! Lately it feels like all the great Chinese food restaurants are closing their doors so when we decided to give this place a shot after driving by for years I could not have been more pleased. The service is sublime, they are friendly and warm and even make jokes. The food was hot and fresh even though we were there between lunch and dinner. It was clearly made with quality ingredients and the flavor was incredible. The place itself was clean and well kept. We have now made this a weekly thing and they have not once let us down. I am so excited we found this place and I hope everyone visits so they stick around for a long time.

The worst Chinese food we've had in the beaverton area.

This place is my go-to whenever I’m in Portland. It’s a very warm and welcome environment, and the food is so good! Ask the waiter for suggestions he never disappoints! I’ll definitely be back!

Disappointed. The owner is really nice but the lunch special is too expensive for not offering very much. It didn't even come with fried rice. The bar area was unattractive. The service was fast.

First few courses was great, but have to wait more than 20 minutes for the rest of the course. When ask server to follow up, he said good foods take time and walk away. Food is good, a bit kind of disappointed with the service.

Not worth the expensive meal, food was cold and very small portions. I have had better tasting Chinese food from a dumpster. Will not be going back

Some of the best hot and sour soup in the area and friendly service.

I don't normally post bad reviews, and I like to give the benefit of the doubt during the restrictions of these Covid 19 times. It has been many years since we've eaten at China Delight, so with some recommendations from friends, we decided to try them again. To their credit, the hosts were pleasant, there was plenty of food in the portions and it was ready to go in a reasonable amount of time. But there was no flavor in ANY of the 3 entrees of our order. At all. I like to order extra because I love leftovers, and this time was no different. So it's really disappointing that there will be none. It's been pitched.

Solid Chinese food. Authentic flavors and good sized portions. If you're in the area, grab some Takeout. From order to completion, it was about 15 min.

We ordered the egg flower soup and it was not good! The sweet and sour pork was mushy and the combination dinners were not what the usual choices for Chinese food are. We ordered other things that would normally cost us about 50 bucks for our family of 4 and it totaled to almost 75 bucks. Not worth is at all. Very disappointed!

Quality, friendly, reasonable

The owner of the restaurant was very informative about the origin of some of the dishes served. We had honey walnut chicken egg foo young and several other dishes that I need to become more familiar with very good food good service and nice people make good food

Quaint restaurant and attach bar. Very quiet and family friendly with excellent Chinese dishes. Easy to locate along busy street.

Definitely a spot worth trying, the food is great and well prepared, the costs are reasonable and it is always neat there. Keep it up.

One of my favorite spots! The regulars are awesome and welcoming, as are the bartenders,Mr. Bruce, all the workers are actually. Food is delicious and hefty portions for left overs...or not. 🤤Ha.

So friendly delish food!

Let me start out by saying WOW!! Absolutely delicious food. The hot and sour soup was very hearty and spicy 🌶️ loved it!! My daughter got the cashew chicken and I got the sweet and sour chicken. Next time I've gotta try the noodles 🙂

Bruce, the manager, is a hoot. The food is authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. The service was good. I have been several times over the past 10 years and have never been disappointed.

Special noodle not in the menu is the best. Hand made "Biang-Biang" noodle is the name.

My favorite type of food is definitely Chinese and I am very picky about what I like. Bruce has been making the best chow mein in Oregon for over 20 years. I’ve been to Frank’s Noodle House and every other acclaimed Asian noodle spot and no one nails the flavors like Bruce. No matter what dish you order it will have a hint of home cooking. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Oregon.

"Welcome Home" is the phrase for the place. The owner will most definitely make you feel that way. Super nice staff. Food is amazing. Deep fried whole crab is well worth the money and I would highly recommend it.

Very polite and great food

Food was a good solid four stars. We got orange chicken chow mein. the orange chicken was particularly great, crispy and good cuts of chicken.

the food is no good the rice is a lil uncooked and the service kept forgetting to bring me the stuff I was asking for and it didn’t have chicken at all only lil strips really. The water was good

Really decent Amer-Chinese food. Staff is attentive and prices are reasonable. American breakfast is served only in the lounge, so don't bring the kids.

Had a awesome experience in this place with my wife. The food comes out rapidly and the customer service is just good. Prices are affordable.
